End (62™38›) For the Duos Ephémères concert at Auditorium du Louvre in Paris on 6th February 2015, an electronic music originator Jeff Mills and a renowned classical pianist Mikhaïl Rudy collaborated to create the music to the rushes of never finished film by Henri-Georges Clouzot, šL™Enfer›. An amazing 60 minute journey of parallel universe and time was captured live so audience can experience its intensity and spontaneity on this album once again. MIKHA¹L RUDY, piano Né en URSS, Mikhaïl Rudy a fait ses études au Conservatoire Tchaïkovski de Moscou et a remporté son premier grand prix au Concours Marguerite--Long à Paris en 1975. Il a joué dans le monde entier, avec les plus grands orchestres (Orchestre Symphonique de Londres, Orchestre philarmonique de Berlin, Orchestre philharmonique de Saint-- Pétersbourg„) et sous la direction des plus grands chefs (Lorin Maazel, Herbert Von Karajan„). Sa discographie comprend notamment l™enregistrement de l™intégrale des concertos de Sergueï Rachmaninov, l™anthologie des Âuvres pour piano de Liszt ou l™intégrale pour piano seul de LeoÀ Janácek. Il a également participé à de nombreuses émissions de télévision et de radio. Sa curiosité l™a conduit à explorer d™autres territoires artistiques : il a notamment joué en duo avec le pianiste de jazz Misha Alperin, écrit avec Robin Renucci un spectacle, Le Pianiste, tiré du livre de Wladyslaw Szpilman et joué au théâtre des Bouffes du Nord, écrit un roman, Le Roman d™un pianiste ou l™impatience de vivre paru aux éditions du Rocher en 2008, réalisé un film sur Chagall„ JEFF MILLS, composer/DJ/producer Jeff Mills evolves from the American culture of electronic music. Born in June 1963 and raised in Detroit (the historic capital of techno music), he earned his early infamous reputation by his exploring the art form of Djing since the start of his career in 1980™s at Detroit local FM stations WDRQ and WJLB, famously known as The Wizard. In 1992 Mills created his own record label, Axis Records to fully explore his music creations. Since 2000, when he boldly embarked on the creation of a new score for Fritz Lang™s šMetropolis›, Mills has fused his love for music and image. Reframing his extraordinary DJing skills in 2004 when he released šThe Exhibitionist›, a real-time, unedited films capturing Mills in creative DJ motions. In 2005, he collaborated with the Montpellier National Orchestra on the 20th anniversary of Unesco™s classification of the Pont de Gard as part of Humanity™s World Heritage. In 2007, he received the title of šChevalier des Arts et des Lettres› from the French ministry of Culture. Jeff Mills was involved in numerous projects at that time, including several film soundtracks collaborating with MK2, Cinémathèque de Française and Cité de la Musique in Paris which included his unique cine-mixes performances of šThree Ages› (Buster Keaton), šOktober› (Sergei Eisenstein), šWoman In The Moon› (Fritz Lang), šFantastic Voyage› (Richard Fleischer) among others. His collaboration with classical orchestras on his own compositions such as šLight From The Outside World›, šWhere Light Ends› have been performed all over the world and in 2015, a new score šPlanets› will be revealed.
