FOGO NA CALDEIRA

A killer set from Brazilian trombonist Marlon Sette  a player who seems likely to take on the legacy of Raul De Souza, through his own mix of jazz, funk, and soul! The set's all instrumental, with plenty of strong solos from Sette  working in a combo that also features Alex Meirelles on keyboards, and plenty of great bass from Kassin  who also produced and recorded the whole set with Mauro Araujo! The record's a very different funky outing from Kassin  who really lets Marlon do his thing, and shine strongly on titles that include Soul Samba Rock Sou, "Vai Dancar Baby", "Grito Da Natureza", "Vidigal Montmartre", "Bate Pro Tito", "Sapato Cromo", and "Sua Beleza".
